#013: Meet Paulette. Nothing I did felt good enough
by Valerie |
“When I was in the throes of perimenopause, I found myself trapped in a cycle of self-criticism. Nothing I did felt good enough—professionally, personally, or even physically.
It was as though my sense of self was slipping away, replaced by fleeting moments of confidence overshadowed by waves of anxiety and self-doubt."
This is Paulette’s story.
And she is not alone.
More than half of the women we speak to feel less confident than they did before they were perimenopausal. And to all you women reading this, who feel the same; we see you.
And we want you to know that this is not where your story ends.
“I feel different—in the best way. I feel grown up. I feel mature. I feel like a woman who knows herself."
There’s strength in acknowledging this transformation and claiming it as our own, like Paulette.
Perimenopause is not something we should face alone and in silence.
It’s a time for connection, for lifting each other up when one of us feels out of sorts.
We should feel liberated to share our stories, our struggles, and our victories.
When we lean on one another, we rediscover our collective strength, reminding each other, that we’ve got this!
Your voice matters.
Your story matters.
We see you.
Perimenopause isn’t a dirty word, and it is time we talk about it.
Perimenopause can feel like it’s stripping away your confidence, leaving you questioning your worth and strength.
Those waves of self-doubt and fleeting moments of “Am I enough?”—we’ve all been there. But what if this phase isn’t just about losing something but rediscovering a new version of yourself?
In the blog, Nothing Left to Do But Dance, we explore how finding joy and embracing the changes can be a powerful step toward rebuilding confidence.
Because even when everything feels uncertain, there’s still room for laughter, movement, and unapologetic self-expression.
Ready to rediscover your strength? Let’s dance through it together. 💃
Over half of the women we surveyed reported feeling less confident than they did prior to perimenopause. We want to change this.
If a loss of confidence is a feeling that you can relate to, we would absolutely love you to join our IG live with Debs Daitani.
We’ll be talking all things:
