Until about two years ago, I was living in blissful ignorance. When it came to digestion, food went in, food came out, job done. Nutrient-rich foods were good, ultra-processed ones (which I naïvely assumed just meant “treaty stuff”) were to be avoided.

I had no clue about gut biomes, blood sugar spikes, insulin resistance, GLP-1 agonists, or any of the other things we’re now apparently meant to understand as perimenopausal women.

These days, it feels like I need a PhD (and absolutely nothing else going on in my life) just to keep up.

Which is why, in this week’s edition of Wild Woman, we’re tackling the latest buzzword on the block: GLP-1. We’re breaking down what the hell it is, why the hell it matters, and what you, dearest reader, need to know - so you can be the one in the WhatsApp group helping all the other poor, clueless souls.

Spoiler alert - no jabs required. We hope it helps

GLP-1, it’s on everyone’s lips, from Hollywood to the headlines nowadays. But what is it, really? Join us as we take a look at what’s really going on behind the dazzling array of ‘jaw-drops’ and jeans sizes, and what the drugs mean for perimenopausal health

What We Are  Listening  To

Mind. blown! When I listened to this I realised just how much I was doing wrong.  Mel Robbins talked to Dr. Stacy Sims about “The Body Reset: How Women Should Eat & Exercise for Health, Fat Loss, & Energy”
